CBwaves

The cbwaves gravitational wave template generator for compact binary objects.

Description

The cbwaves software calculates the gravitational waves emitted by generic configuration (not-aligned spinning, eccentric) binary neutron stars (BNSs) or binary black holes (BBHs) by direct integration of the equation of motion of the bodies. The waveforms are calculated in time domain and they also can be determined in frequency domain by using the implemented FFT. The various initial parameters and settings are controlled in the .ini file.

Here is a detailed description CBwavesPresentation

Configuration

A detailed description and examples are provided int the tarball/rpm. Please consult the man page shipped with the software to read more about the feautres of the code.

Download

tgz cbwaves-1.1.0-1.tgz
rpm (src) cbwaves-1.1.0-1.src.rpm
rpm (x86_64) cbwaves-1.1.0-1.x86_64.rpm
deb (x86_64) cbwaves_1.1.0-2_amd64.deb

Installation

Installing the packaged rpms

The rpm is statically linked, install it by typing

rpm -i cbwaves-1.0.0-1.x86_64.rpm

or using the yum package manager

yum localinstall cbwaves-1.1.0-1.x86_64.rpm

Installing the tarball and the source rpm

The cbwaves package requires boost-devel. If you install the tarball or the source rpm you have to have boost-devel on your system installed. After downloading and extraction the tarballs and entering the src directory launch make, make install or make rpm to create a package. Default location is /usr/local/cbwaves, but can be overwritten using for example make install prefix=/home/gdebrecz/cbwaves/.
